Transparent audience measurement

Privacy information

Roses of Zikr uses its own data-minimal visitor counter. It does not create analytics or advertising profiles.

One visitor per IP address

On the first visit, the IP address established by the web server is briefly handled in memory, normalized, and immediately pseudonymized as an HMAC using a secret server key. The application does not store the raw IP address. The same hash is counted only once in total.

Stored information

The 64-character HMAC hash and the date and time of the first visit are stored. The hash remains until the statistics are deleted or reset so the same IP address is not counted again.

Technical limits

People behind the same public IP address count together as one visitor. If a public IP address changes, the same person may be counted again. Recognizable bots and signed-in administrator visits are excluded.

Other local and external functions

Language, appearance, and personal dhikr counters may be stored locally in the browser. Qur’anEnc, HadeethEnc, and AlAdhan are contacted only for the relevant visible content or prayer times; their own privacy terms also apply.

Note for the operator
